In addition to PVL, JPVL and Phoenix Leauge, Easts also participate in numerous tournaments and competitions organised by other clubs in both Queensland and beyond throughout the year. 

Below is a list of tournaments Easts usually participates in. Depending on the demand, Easts may enter in several teams.

Tournaments are open to all our squads. More information will be available nearing closer to the tournament date.


Toowoomba Volleyball Association

22-23 February 2020


Clash of the Titans is a mixed tournament held near the start of the year by Toowoomba Volleyball Association. Easts generally field at least one team in the competition in preparation for our year of volleyball.

 - Mixed format (2 women on court)

 - Best of 3 sets to time (1 hour time limit)

Easts (Playing as The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad) are currently the reigning champions of Mens Division 2.


Aces United Volleyball Club

13-14 March 2020

Brisbane (Logan)

Aces Open Cup is a competition held by Aces United around the Brisbane/Logan area. Easts are planning to send teams to this competition in preparation for the PVL season.

 - Divisions: Mens D1, Mens D2, Womens D1, Womens D2, Social

 - Best of 3 sets to time (untimed)


Dragons Volleyball Association

3 - 5 May 2020


Dragons Flaming Chalice is one of the largest club run events in Queensland boasting 80 teams each year. Generally, Easts will enter in at least 2 teams into both the mens and womens division.

 - Multiple divisions on offer

 - Best of 5 sets to time (1 hour game + 10 min warmup)

Easts (Playing as Kroppy's Boys) are the current reigning champions of Mens Division 2.


Volleyball Queensland

29-30 August 2020

Gold Coast

Each year, Volleyball Queensland hosts the QLD State Championships. Teams for almost all clubs participate in this event to see who reigns champion.

This tournament is open to all players from both our PVL, JPVL and Phoenix Programs. Easts also welcomes anyone outside our club to participate in this tournament.

Easts are currently the defending champions of Division 2 Men and Under 16 Boys


Coffs Harbour Volleyball Association

Coffs Harbour (NSW)

One of the only interstate tournaments on our calendar, Easts typically sends a team down to Coffs Harbour to participate in the Jacacnana Tournament. This tournament is a mixed tournament and continues where Grafton's Jacaranda Tournament left off.

Games are played best of 3 sets to time (1 hour) - mixed rules

Easts (Playing as D.V.A.S. Finesse) are currently the champions of Mixed Division 2.
