Easts COVID-19 Updates

UPDATE: Easts Programs Resume with Restrictions

The lockdown placed on Greater Brisbane has been lifted (as of Saturday 3 July 2021 - 6pm). Restrictions continue across Greater Brisbane to reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19. Social Distancing requirements have now reverted back to 1 person per 4 square metres.

Masks are required to be carried at all times when attending all Easts Volleyball Programs.

  •  You will need to wear a mask when arriving and leaving the venue

  •  Whenever not actively involved in a drill

  •  Coaches will wear a mask during training (when not involved in the participation of the drill)

  •  Spectators are required to wear a mask at all times

  •  As soon as possible, after training has finished, a mask must be worn

  •  Participants will not be allowed to enter the venue without wearing a mask

Masks may be removed if:

  •  You are participating in a drill/game/training on court;

  •  You are out of breath, gasping for air, or struggling to breath;

  •  When are trying to communicate with someone and the mask is causing difficulty (social distance required);

  •  You are eating or drinking.


QR Check-In

QR Check-in via the QLD Check-in app continues to be mandatory at all Easts venues and trainings. Failure to check-in will result in expulsion from the site.

All Easts Programs will resume starting Sunday 4 July 2021.

Easts reserves the right to refuse entry or service to those who disregard or disobey this health directive, or display symptoms. Failure to comply with health directives will result in the participant being asked to leave. Please do not attend training if you are sick or have been sick in the past 14 days.

The New Normal - Stage 6 Restrictions

Under this stage, sport has largely returned back to normal with some minor changes maintained in order to ensure public safety.

  • Maintain Social Distancing  (1 person per 2 sq metre unless stated)

  • Practice personal hygiene (washing hands etc)

  • Ensuring that details in QR Check-in is correct

  • Not turning up if unwell

  • Balls and equipment will be sanitised after use
